Masculine Quick Cards

Image
Hi Papercrafters Today I have three quick Masculine Cards using the newly released Gentleman's Emporium Collection from Couture Creations. My first Card "Cherish" uses the foiled Pocket Watch.  This is popped up on a simple background of papers and is the focus of the card. The pale gold foil is perfect and a bit understated which I love.  My second Card uses papers and embellishments from the Ephemera set.  I also used the Square Gentleman's corner die. It is so beautiful and intricate and cuts so beautifully! The Happy Birthday sticker was from the Tiny Words sticker Sheet, I coloured the gold with a black permanent marker. For my third card I did a simple score and fold on my score board to simulate a shirt. The paper size I cut was 6" long x 3" wide. And I score 1 1/4" in from top left to 3" down from top right. I cut the little button from the watch paper in the paper pad and gently curved th

'Live, Love, Laugh' Card

Hi Paper Friends Today another pretty card using the lovely Butterfly Garden. The beautiful muted colours, butterflies, flowers and pearls create a sweet little card that is sure to delight its receiver! I used lots of layers, some were laid flat, some raised with foam dots, some distressed, some not. I do love these big full flowers that are distributed by Couture Creations. It only takes one as a focal point to create a pretty card. Adorned with paper leaves cut from some ephemera, butterflies cut form patterned paper and a pretty ornate corner die, cut from paper. Take a moment to shape your butterfly wings, attach wings with foam tape and the bodies with wet adhesive to give it a wonderful dimentional appearance! Hope you like it and it gives you some creative ideas! Hello Friend!

Image
Hi Papercrafters 😁 I am still having so much fun with Butterfly Garden. Such a beautiful and easy to use collection. I have made a simple little card that is so much fun, pretty quick to make too! Let's check out how I made it! Cut Ivory card stock 5 1/4" x 10 1/2". Score at 2 5/8" and 5 1/4". Fold, mountain then valley. Cut a second piece of Ivory card stock 4" x 9 1/2". Score at 4 3/4" x 7 3/8". Fold mountain then valley. 3. Cover both cards with patterned paper. 4. Attach the two layers together, and decorate front with ephemera 5. I die cut the 'Ornate Corner and 'Hello Friend'  mini dies with the Go Cut and Emboss machine. I then put the die cut pieces of card through the Go Press and Foil machine using the thicker metal plate and a card shim. They foiled beautifully! I also cut some scrap ivory cardstock and placed it on the second front section to w

A quick little beauty!

Hi Papercrafters 😃 Today I have been playing with the beautiful Butterfly Garden Collection from Couture Creations. I wanted to create a quick little card, let's face it, a quick pretty card always has a place in our repetoire!  I also wanted it to have a little bit of interest! It was easy to create such a pretty front to the card by simply fussy cutting paper to. I co-ordinated it inside with a check design and used the sentiment panel of another sheet of paper as an internal concertina runner. To this I attached butterflies.  It really is a quickie, why not have a play yourself! Here's How! Cover a 4" x 6" card in black card. Attach patterned paper to front cut from sheet 07A (Butterfly Garden Collection). Trim the large cream Butterfly from the Ephemera set and attach - body flat and two layers of foam under the wings. Attach sentiment Cover inside with sheet 11A. Cut sentiment panel from sheet 4A, 8" x 1 1

Scrapbook Layout

Image
Hi Papercrafters 😃 Today I have a lovely scrapbook layout using 'Le Petit Jardin' .... such a pretty and flexible collection. I have used lots of layering and stressed edges. Here is how I started my page. I love this 'Morning Flourish'  decorative die and seem to be popping it everywhere on my cards and layouts at the moment.  I love scattering a few sequins on my layouts, they add a hard 'anchored' elament, and also fill a space easily. This particular colour is amazing and seems to go with everything and makes a nice change from gold ... I love it! (Mixed Sequins). There is lots of dimension on this page, including the flowers which I fussy cut from papers in the 12x12 Paper Pad (CO725434). By cutting out several flowers you can use foam tape to build them up. I stressed the edges, spritzed with water and shaped the leaves. I also love adding some cheesecloth for textural softness. Isn't fo
